About the Role

As a Business Consultant at Ventro, you will work directly with business owners and senior management across Zambia to diagnose operational challenges, design practical solutions, and oversee their implementation. You will be a trusted advisor who bridges strategy and execution — delivering measurable results, not just reports.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in dynamic environments, communicates with confidence, and takes ownership of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth business health diagnostics to identify performance gaps and growth opportunities
  • Develop tailored strategic plans, SOPs, and operational frameworks for client businesses
  • Lead client engagements from kickoff through delivery, managing timelines and expectations
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and management reviews with client teams
  • Analyse financial data, market trends, and competitor landscapes to inform recommendations
  • Prepare clear, professional reports and presentations for business owners and boards
  • Support business development by identifying upsell opportunities and contributing to proposals
  • Collaborate with internal team members on multi-service client engagements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field (Master's is an advantage)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in consulting, business management, or a strategic advisory role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of the Zambian business environment is a significant advantage
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and client-service orientation
